What each IELTS practice test includes
Listening and Reading
Four Listening parts and three Academic Reading passages, 40 questions each, timed as in the real test and marked against an answer key, then converted to a band.
Writing
Task 1 and Task 2, typed on screen and rated against the four published IELTS criteria: Task Achievement or Task Response, Coherence and Cohesion, Lexical Resource, and Grammatical Range and Accuracy.
Speaking
The three parts of the Speaking test, answered aloud and recorded in your browser, then rated on Fluency and Coherence, Lexical Resource, Grammatical Range and Accuracy, and Pronunciation.
A score report
A band for each skill and an overall band, in English, on your account. Wrong answers can be worked through with the AI tutor, which is priced separately by time.
A practice band, not an official one
Writing and Speaking have no answer key, so they are rated by AI against the published IELTS criteria. That gives a practice estimate of your band, not an official IELTS result: official results come only from a test booked through IELTS, with the British Council or IDP.
IELTS online test or IELTS mock test?
Two different things are searched for under similar names. IELTS Academic Online is the official test taken online, booked through IELTS, and its result is an official IELTS score. An IELTS mock test, which is what this page sells, is practice: the same four skills and the same timing, taken on this site whenever you choose, with a practice band at the end.

Choose a pack
One, five, ten or twenty tests, bought on your TestPrep Africa account. The larger the pack, the less each test costs.
Sit each test when you choose
Each test opens on your account and stays there for 12 months, and it can be sat twice. The Speaking parts need a microphone.
Read the report
The report gives a band for each skill and the overall band, in English. Use it to decide which skill to practise next, in the IELTS question bank or with a tutor.
