One-to-one lesson packages

Every lesson is 90 minutes, live and online, with the same specialist for as long as you are working on their area. Where two areas need lifting — SAT Math and Reading and Writing, say — that is two specialists rather than one generalist, and the package covers lessons with either. The per-lesson rate falls as the package grows; the single lesson exists so you can meet a tutor before committing.

Bought here, with no account needed: the checkout asks for the student’s details, and we then contact you to match the tutor and agree the times. A single lesson can be bought up to ten at a time. Lessons in a package stay valid until they have been used.

Group course

A live online group that follows a fixed syllabus and timetable, at a fraction of the one-to-one cost. 72 live lessons, 72 taught hours, 20 practice tests included. It suits a student who is on track and needs structure, rather than one with specific gaps. Classes are capped at six.

Start dates

Bought here, with no account needed: you choose the start date at checkout and give the student’s details. A group starts on its published start date, so the date is not yours to choose the way a private schedule is. Lesson times are set for each group and published in the organiser’s timezone; we confirm them against yours before you book, because the markets on this site span four time zones.

Private group

Three or more students who prepare together can have a ACT group of their own, with the days and times agreed with them. Each student buys their own place here; once the places are paid we form the group and send the timetable.

Private groups: If you are not satisfied after the lessons held in your group's first week, we refund your payment in full. The checkout asks for the student’s details and, if you like, the names of the friends you are booking with.

Study on your own

Neither of these needs a lesson booked alongside it. They are bought here, on your account, and used on their own, and plenty of students only ever buy these.

Per hour, considerably: the full course is USD 1,050 for 72 taught hours. What it does not do is adapt to one student’s gaps — a group follows a fixed syllabus. Group courses are taught in English, in classes of at most six, and start on a set start date rather than on a date you choose.

Yes. There are question-bank plans from USD 19.99 and full practice tests from USD 8.99, bought on their own. Many students start there and add lessons only for the section that will not move.
