GROUP COURSES

Group Courses, Live and Online

A structured course with a fixed syllabus and timetable, in a class of no more than six, at a fraction of the one-to-one cost. It suits a student who is on track and wants structure more than individual attention.

  • At most six per class
  • Grouped by level
  • Taught in English
  • Instalments available

Group courses and prices

Eleven programmes run group courses. Classes never exceed 6 students and are grouped by level. Where the hub states the course length, it is shown.

How group courses work

Each group course has a fixed start date, a published syllabus and a weekly timetable. Up to twenty-four students take part, split by level into classes of at most six, so a class moves at a pace that suits the students in it. Where the course length is set, the hours and number of lessons are shown on each programme’s pricing page.

Each group starts on its own start date, not on a date of your choosing, and lesson times are set for each group. Because the countries on this site span four time zones, we confirm the times against yours before you enrol. Group courses are taught in English; no French- or Arabic-taught group is offered.

When a group course is the right choice

  • You are broadly on track

And need a structured path through the whole syllabus rather than repairs to specific gaps.

  • You work well alongside others

Small classes make questions easy and give a sense of pace.

  • Budget matters

The per-hour cost is a fraction of one-to-one lessons.

  • You can combine

Many students take a group course and add a few one-to-one lessons for their weakest section.

Frequently asked questions

Short, direct answers. If yours is not here, ask us.

SAT, ACT, AP, IB, GMAT, GRE, IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, IMAT and TR-YOS. A Level, IGCSE, SSAT, UCAT, LNAT and LSAT are one-to-one only.

Yes, for most programmes, at no extra cost. SAT, ACT, GMAT, GRE, PTE, IELTS, TOEFL and TR-YOS courses include 20 practice tests and the full question bank; AP courses include 10 practice tests per subject (and the subject’s question bank where that bank is on sale), and IMAT courses 10 practice tests. They open on your account with your class (AP and IMAT tests as they are published). IB courses include none.

Start dates follow the group’s calendar, and which programmes currently have an English-taught class starting is confirmed when you enquire. We will not enrol you into a class whose times do not work in your time zone.

Yes. Every group course can be paid in monthly instalments; the number and amount are on each programme’s pricing page.

Group courses: If you are not satisfied after the lessons held in the first week, we refund your payment in full. We do not offer free trial lessons. Payment is required before your first lesson. Private groups: If you are not satisfied after the lessons held in your group's first week, we refund your payment in full. After the first week, group course fees are not refunded. Each group is built around its enrolled students: the class size, the tutor and the timetable are set for them, and when one student leaves, the course changes for everyone else in the group. This does not affect your legal right to withdraw within 14 days of payment: if you withdraw in that period after lessons have started, the lessons already held are charged in proportion to the course and the rest is refunded.

A group opens when enough students have enrolled. If there are not enough enrolments, you choose what happens to your payment: a full refund, a place in the next group to start, or one-to-one lessons of the same value.
