Frequently asked questions

Short, direct answers. If yours is not here, ask us.

Yes — lessons, group courses, diagnostics and practice tests. There is no teaching centre, office or school partnership anywhere in Africa.

Anywhere with a reliable internet connection. There are country guides for Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, South Africa, Egypt, Morocco, Côte d’Ivoire, Senegal and Cameroon.

In English, the language every exam on this site is sat in. The website is fully available in English, French and Arabic, and you can write to us in any of the three. If explanations in French or Arabic would help, ask on the intro call and we will say honestly whether a tutor who can teach in that language is available for your subject.

Every programme starts with a free fifteen-minute intro call. SAT, ACT, GMAT, GRE, PTE, IELTS, TOEFL and TR-YOS also have a free full-length diagnostic. For IB, AP and IGCSE the first lesson is the assessment. For other programmes the starting method is agreed on the intro call.

Yes, on every programme, at the single-lesson price shown on each pricing page.

Your satisfaction matters to us. If the first lesson didn't meet your expectations, we take a quick look at what went wrong (the tutor match, changes to the programme and so on). If you're still not satisfied after the first lesson, you get a 100% refund. On a group course, the same applies to the lessons held in the first week. We do not offer free trial lessons. Payment is required before your first lesson. You can cancel a lesson package at any time. Lessons already given are charged at the single-lesson price and the rest is refunded. The first-lesson guarantee applies on top.

Yes, for eleven programmes. Classes are live online, at most six students, grouped by level and taught in English. Each group starts on a set start date, and we confirm the timetable in your time zone first.

Our tutors are the TestPrep group’s international roster and teach online. We do not describe any of them as living in an African country.

Yes, as supervision and feedback within the IB’s rules. We never write, redraft or edit assessed work.

Our work is exam and subject preparation. Where a timeline depends on application deadlines, we plan around them, but we are not an admissions consultancy.
